SBF are proud to announce that one of its employees, Kelsey Sutcliffe, has won the prestigious Miss Leeds competition 2011.
The 21-year-old, who is an Operation Support Executive, beat stiff competition to scoop the crown in the finals at Halo Nightclub.
Kelsey was delighted to win the title and now she can’t wait to represent Leeds in the national beauty pageant.
She said: “I am absolutely elated to be crowned Miss Leeds. I am a bubbly, honest, approachable and a charismatic person who always strives to do her best, but not at the expense of others."
The Skipton-based employee went on to add: “I feel I can be a good role model to people of all ages and genders. I will show that it doesn’t matter what size clothes you are, what religion you practice or what beliefs you have because if you are determined the sky is the limit.”
Kelsey, who hails from Oakworth, near Keighley, had to create her very own dress as part of the competition’s eco round.
Her design – made from old school jumpers, oofahs, bin liners and a paper clip bracelet – wowed the judging panel.
Miss Leeds organiser, James Wakefield, said: “Kelsey is beautiful, confident and genuine – all factors which contributed to her win.
“We wish her every success in representing Leeds at the Miss England final in July in Birmingham.”
Kelsey hopes to follow the success of last year’s Miss Leeds Katie Farr and you can follow her progress here.
