Skipton Business Finance join panel of accredited lenders under the Government-backed Business Growth Service

Skipton Business Finance (SBF) last night confirmed that it had been selected to join the exclusive “Access to Finance” lending panel as accredited lenders in the Government-backed Business Growth Service.

The scheme is organised by the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills and is administered by accounting giants Grant Thornton offering support to businesses with potential to improve and grow.

Formerly known as Growth Accelerator, the service is designed to help get to the heart of the barriers holding businesses back and works alongside them to identify the critical steps needed to achieve their next phase of growth, both rapidly and sustainably.

Any independent business based in England and registered in the UK is eligible for the scheme providing that they have less than 250 employees and turn over less than £40m.

Andy Grantham, Sales & Marketing Director commented: “We are delighted to be working closely with the Business Growth Service. Being part of their Access to Finance Lending Panel confirms our commitment to helping owner-managers fund their businesses through periods of growth.”

Grantham added that SBF’s solid reputation in the market helped the company become part of the Business Growth Service’s approved list of lenders.

“SBF have an extremely successful track record in helping business raise finance against their invoices through Factoring or Invoice Discounting and I’m delighted that this has been recognised by the Business Growth Service.”

A wholly-owned subsidiary of the Skipton Group, a long standing mutual financial institution established in 1853, SBF was founded in 2001 and provides financial products ranging from Invoice Factoring, Invoice Discounting and their award-winning My White Label solution to UK businesses.
